Gatineau Loppet P. Miron Consultants has been involved intermittently with the Gatineau Loppet for over ten years. P. Miron Consultants’ work consists in coordinating the logistic operations to ensure a memorable experience for the participants to this race of international calibre. To this end, P. Miron Consultants is responsible for setting up the start and finish areas, overseeing the provision of skier services in the Mont-Bleu High School, liaising with the City of Gatineau in order to coordinate the snow production schedule as well as the equipment delivery. It is in 2011, that P. Miron Consultants was mandated to carry out a feasibility study looking into the creation of a linear course as part of the event’s 35th anniversary celebrations. The recommendations and expertise provided in P. Miron Consultants’ study enabled the organization to successfully implement this linear course in 2012 for the pleasure and satisfaction of both participants and organizers. logo-gatineau_loppet2013
Ottawa RBC Bluesfest P. Miron Consultants has been working for over 19 years in close collaboration with the RBC Royal Bank Ottawa Bluesfest, since the second edition of this festival of international scope, the biggest blues festival in Canada and the second biggest in North America. P. Miron Consultants has developed a trust-based relationship with the events General Manager and Artistic Director, Mark Monahan, which has contributed to the events expansion. Throughout the years, the many site changes (Major’s Hill Park, Confederation Park, Ottawa City Hall, Canadian War Museum), the increased attendance, the expanding needs, P. Ottawa Race Weekend P. Miron Consultants works in close collaboration with the Race Director of the Ottawa Race Weekend to develop an interesting and safe course for the participants find solutions to the challenges provided by construction along the course and propose alternate routes when required. Responsible for the delivery of equipment required for road closures, check points, start and finish areas as well as signage installation along the course, P. Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light It is since the very first edition of the Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light that P. Miron Consultants is part of the team responsible for the implementation of this major project. Throughout the years, P. Miron Consultants’ involvement has been at many levels from the planning of the launching ramp on barges in the middle of Leamy Lake, the design and layout of the corporate areas, the conception and installation of the bleachers, the coordination of the road closures and public transport, the liaison with the many partners associated with the event such as the police and fire departments of the City of Gatineau, the STO, the National Capital Commission and many others. In 2014, P. Miron Consultants is actively involved in planning the move of the event to the Canadian Museum of History in order to ensure a smooth transition. With a launching area in the middle of the Outaouais River, the new relations with the City of Ottawa and Parliament Hill, P. Cheese Curd Festival St Albert is the host of the Curd Festival for which P. Miron Consultants brings its expertise since 2008. Franco-Ontarian Festival It is since the first edition that P. Miron Consultants was involved in the organization of Le Festival franco-ontarien. For over ten years, P. Miron’s expertise helped develop schedules, site plans and realistic budget according to the event’s needs. CN Cycle for CHEO It is in 2011, when the organization is going through a critical period that P. Miron Consultants gets involved in CN Cycle for CHEO in order to bring it’s expertise and professionalism to this event. P. Miron Consultants develops two new courses in downtown Ottawa, approved, in great part due to P. Miron Consultants excellent collaboration with the City of Ottawa police department and public services, both confident in P. Miron Consultants expertise to successfully implement these proposed routes. In addition to developing a 35km and a 70 km course, the firm identifies vehicle detours, emergency routes, intersections requiring police presence and volunteer controllers. P. Miron Consultants in-depth knowledge of downtown Ottawa; its one-ways, its intersections, its businesses and jurisdictions enables the event to establish a trust based relationship with the local authorities which allows the event to keep their course in downtown Ottawa which is important to them. The 14th World Scout Moot An international scout gathering of over 2000 young people aged between 18 and 25 from 83 different countries at Awacamenj’ Mino outdoor park in the Outaouais valley for which P. Miron Consultants was responsible to provide logistical services. Moot Canada 2013
Winterlude Snow’Art in the Byward Market New in 2014 ! Byward Art is a snow sculpture event held in the Byward Market as part of Winterlude. Within this project, P. Miron Consultants oversees the construction of the snow boxes which will be sculpted by both professional and amateurs. P.Miron makes sure to provide quality snow that surpass the expectations of both the organizers and the sculptors. P. Grand Prix Cycliste de Gatineau It is in 2011 that P. Miron Consultants got involved in the organization of le Grand Prix Cycliste de Gatineau to bring its expertise and knowledge of course development and road closures as well as the conception of the layout of arrival and finish areas of international calibre races. Jeux Franco-Ontariens It is for the 9th edition in 2002 that P. Miron Consultants gets involved with la FESFO in the conception and implementation of the shows at the main stage during Les Jeux franco-ontariens. Responsible for the Stage Management and Artistic Direction of all ceremonies and shows, P. Miron Consultants ensures the smooth presentations of all shows as part of les Jeux franco-ontariens. CityFolk Festival It is since the CityFolk Festival moved to Lansdowne Park in 2011 that P. Miron Consultants is involved in providing the logistic services to this ever-growing event. CityFolk Festival
Montebello Rockfest New in 2014 for P. Miron Consultants that hopes that thanks to its expertise will be able to find solutions to the challenges generated by the rapid growth in participants to the biggest rock festival in Québec held in Montebello since 2005. rockfest
Canada Army Run Responsible for the delivery of equipment required for road closures, check points, start and finish areas as well as installation of signage along the course, P. Miron Consultants has been involved in the Canada Army Run since its beginning in 2009. P. Miron Consultants works in close collaboration with the Race Director to develop the course, ensure that the said course is safe for participants as well as find solutions to the annual challenges posed by the construction along the course and therefore propose alternate routes when required.
Vancouver Olympics 2010 – Place de la francophonie It is on Grandville Island that you could find Place de la francophonie during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Place de la francophonie was a place of pride and promotion of the canadian francophonie which presented over 1000 show during the 20 days of olympic celebrations. As Director of logistics, P. Miron Consultants was responsible for the layout, the installation and the maintenance of the infrastructures required ensuring the successful operations of this event where the biggest names in the Canadian francophonie performed.
